Overview

God Is Dog is a children’s-book–inspired digital project designed to make faith-based storytelling feel warm, inviting, and accessible. My role centered on translating the whimsical, heart-led tone of the book into a cohesive visual identity and web experience. I developed a kid-friendly design language using soft, storybook colors, rounded shapes, and expressive illustrations that reflect the project’s gentle message.


Beyond visual design, I focused on creating an intuitive, family-friendly interface that supports easy reading and exploration. The goal was to build a digital environment where parents and children could engage together, discover resources, and enjoy the narrative without barriers.


This project highlights my ability to combine visual storytelling, thoughtful UX, and mission-driven design, turning a simple children’s concept into a polished, engaging digital brand.

Brand Strategy & Positioning

The design language drew heavily from classic picture books, blending simplicity with expressive storytelling elements.

Color- A palette of soft pastels and muted primary tones was selected to evoke familiarity and warmth. These hues mirror traditional children’s-book illustrations and create a gentle, approachable environment.

Typography- Rounded, humanist typefaces were chosen to support readability for early-age viewers while maintaining a friendly, modern presence. Headings are playful and expressive, while body text stays clean and accessible.

Illustration- Hand-drawn–inspired characters and shapes bring the narrative to life. Their exaggerated forms and minimal detailing reinforce the project’s childlike simplicity and emotional softness.

UI Elements- Buttons, icons, and navigation components use curved edges and large tap zones to support small hands and parents navigating together.

This visual and verbal system works cohesively to create a brand that feels imaginative, trustworthy, and full of heart.
